Junie

Client management and administrative automation for doulas and birth workers

You do the birth work. Junie keeps the admin together.

Junie brings inquiries, agreements, invoices, payment dates, on-call periods, and postpartum hours into one place. Its administrative drafts start in review mode, so you decide what a client receives.

Generally available. Start free with your first client; upgrade when your practice grows.

Where admin breaks down

Keeping every detail in sync is where the work gets messy.

New inquiry

The answer is in three places

The due date is in an email, your availability is on a calendar, and the right package is in a document you last edited months ago.

Payment due

The timing matters

A reminder may be appropriate on an ordinary Tuesday and completely wrong while a client is in labor. The system should keep that reminder from sending.

Postpartum

The hours need one ledger

You and the family should be able to see the same remaining-hours balance without reconstructing it from texts, invoices, and a spreadsheet.

Start in review mode

Junie drafts. You decide what leaves your practice.

Junie uses the practice details you saved to draft inquiry replies and follow-ups. For a birth inquiry with an estimated due date, it checks that date against committed birth work and your saved birth-client capacity. You still review the wording and availability claim. If a client replies, that follow-up thread stops and comes back to you.

  • Every workflow begins in review mode
  • Eligible inquiry and transactional follow-up workflows must earn autopilot; marketing offers remain review-only
  • Held drafts, blocks, reschedules, dismissals, and sends stay in the activity log

Dates tied to the engagement

Choose the schedule. Junie calculates the calendar dates.

For birth support, you can set payment milestones by gestational week. Postpartum balances use the package's selected net terms counted from signing. The schedule remains yours, and it should match the agreement the client signed.

  • Review the full schedule before a client sees it
  • A later due-date change shifts on-call dates, not signed payment dates
  • Pause automation when the agreement no longer matches

Records that match doula work

On-call periods, postpartum hours, and payment receipts.

Junie can place the on-call period on the schedule and keep a shared balance for hour-based packages. For a birth inquiry with an estimated due date, it compares that date with committed birth engagements and the practice's saved birth-client capacity when preparing a reply. One or more settled payments can also produce a receipt labeled as a superbill; the current receipt uses payment-record dates and generic descriptions.

  • EDD-based birth-capacity check when an inquiry reply is prepared
  • Remaining hours visible to you and the client
  • Generated receipt uses payment-record dates and generic descriptions; no claim submission

Guided setup

Bring in your practice details, then review each part.

Junie can use your website, bio, or setup answers to prepare package details, an agreement draft, intake questions, and message templates. You review them before use. Have an attorney licensed in your state review your agreement; Junie does not provide legal advice. If you are switching tools, the importer maps basic contact and pipeline fields from one CSV, or one contacts CSV inside a ZIP, and reports a result for each row.

What your clients see

One link to choose a package, sign, and make the initial payment.

A family does not need a Junie account for the booking flow. After booking, a separate private link can show the latest signed agreement and the current engagement's payments, generated receipts, and postpartum-hours balance. You can revoke that link when access should end.

Your business relationship

Your practice stays yours.

Junie is software, not an agency or employer. It does not assign your clients, set your rate, or make care decisions. You choose the services, agreement, payment schedule, and messages used in your practice.

Your judgment

Administrative drafts are suggestions. You remain responsible for what your practice says and does.

Your records

Download a ZIP export of the listed client, engagement, payment, message, activity, calendar, agreement, and generated-receipt records from settings. The export does not yet include every account field or artifact.

Your client payments

Junie adds no platform fee. Stripe processing fees still apply and depend on the payment method and account.

What the system checks before an agent-generated message can send

The AI draft is only one step. Separate code checks the current client, workflow, timing, amounts, and message content again at send time. When your practice has several packages, the current price check may not catch a quote for the wrong one, so review every price. Junie also relies on the availability check from when a birth-inquiry draft was created instead of checking the calendar again just before sending.

  • Every workflow starts in review mode. An unapproved agent draft can send only after an eligible workflow has earned autopilot and the doula has enabled it
  • Agent-generated outreach is blocked during the on-call period and for 7 days after the recorded birth, unless the doula has enabled payment-neutral logistics and the message contains no money request
  • A practice-wide birth pause blocks agent-generated outreach
  • Agent messages scheduled during quiet hours are rescheduled using the client's saved timezone, or the practice timezone when the client has none; the default window is 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • A per-client weekly limit on agent-generated messages is checked again at send time
  • Stated amounts, links, unresolved template fields, and possible cross-client details are checked before agent-generated messages send; when a practice has several packages, the current price check uses the lowest package price and may not catch a quote for the wrong package
  • For a birth inquiry with an estimated due date, Junie checks capacity when it creates the draft; it does not check the calendar again just before sending, so the doula should review the availability statement
  • Autopilot drafts are checked for possible medical advice, legal advice, risky tone, and off-topic content; a warning or unavailable classifier holds the draft for review
  • Activity records show drafts held for review, blocks, reschedules, dismissals, and sends; sent entries show whether the doula approved or edited the draft

Published pricing for general access

$39/month. Free for 1 active client.

The published free plan allows 1 active client at a time. An engagement counts from signing through active, on-call, and postpartum work. Completed and lost engagements do not count.
